Cassie Gives my Niece a Ride
Last weekend my 6-year-old niece came for a visit and wanted to go for a ride on Cassie. I led her around the paddock and lawn, then hopped on with her and we went for a trail ride back in the woods. Other than the biting flies, it was a nice ride, and Cassie was such a good girl. I recently acquired a western saddle for just such an occasion, as I think that it’s nice for beginner riders to have a little more security and a horn to hang onto. (I still prefer my English saddle though!)
